TEDxToronto: Inside a city on the rise

Sandbox partnered with TEDxToronto for their 2019 speaker series, where we produced three documentary shorts featuring six speakers from various fields: a spoken word poet, a web developer, an artist, a construction worker, the CEO of a food access non-profit, and a restaurant chain founder.

Using our unique audio-only interview approach, we created intimate portraits, bringing the speakers together to discuss critical issues facing Toronto, such as housing, immigration, diversity, and community. 

The series was screened at TEDxToronto 2019, where it complemented the event’s theme of "Rise," sparking thoughtful conversations among an audience of over 1000 people.
