Sandbox Labs wanted to enhance the post-secondary student experience by helping students connect and thrive. Our team built a social app, Mighty, to do some heavy lifting.

In an era where academic paths are increasingly complex, Mighty gives students the tools to visualize and track their degree progress, explore the paths of others, and engage with classmates. By fostering deeper academic connections and providing a platform for meaningful interaction, Mighty empowers students to navigate the challenges of university life while building lasting personal and professional networks.

The development of Mighty was guided by years of in-depth research and collaboration with students and professors at the University of Toronto. Our writing and research teams gathered critical insights through data collection and analysis, ensuring that the app met the real needs of students. This extensive input directly influenced the design and functionality of Mighty, allowing the app to offer personalized academic tracking and connection features. Students can now track their progress, learn about different academic pathways, and build connections that support both their education and future careers.

Designed and developed by the talented team at Sandbox Labs, Mighty reflects our commitment to creating innovative solutions that improve student experiences. From the first concept to the current beta version, we’ve incorporated feedback from students and professors to refine the app’s design and features. As we continue testing and refining Mighty, our goal is to help students not only succeed in academics, but thrive with social and professional development throughout their university journey.
